System requirements

DSP-Quattro works on any Apple Mac with a PowerPC or Intel microprocessor.
  • Minimum:
    G4 CPU, 128 MBytes of RAM and 50 MBytes of free space on your HD.
    (Please note that the performance of DSP-Quattro will be heavily dependent on
    the number of plug-ins and effects that are in use at the same time).

  • Recommended:
    Power PC G5 or Intel Core2 Duo CPU, 512 MBytes of RAM and 100 MBytes of free HD space.

  • DSP-Quattro X fully supports CoreMIDI.
    (which is built-in into MacOS X)

  • DSP-Quattro supports AudioUnit and VST 2.4 effect and instrument plug-ins. Hardware audio interfaces are supported if compatible with MacOS X CoreAudio. Built-in CoreAudio drivers can be used to control any Macintosh standard audio interface.

The system requirements for version 2.1.2

DSP-Quattro version 2.1.2 is still available for the download, but it is recommended on MacOS 10.3 or MacOS 9, PowerPC based Macs only.
  • CPU 604 with second level cache, 32 MBytes of RAM, and 10 MBytes of free space on your HD.
  • DSP-Quattro 2.1.2 requires MacOS 9.2 or MacOS X 10.2/10.3.
  • Macintosh standard audio interface can be used by DSP-Quattro 2.1.2 for MacOS 9 supports the Apple SoundManager
    and any audio device with ASIO drivers.
  • Optionally, if you want to use DSP-Quattro 2.1.2 through MIDI under MacOS 9, you need to install OMS. The latest version of OMS is 2.3.8.
  • DSP-Quattro 2.1.2 for MacOS X supports AudioUnit and VST (Carbon and Mach-O) plug-ins.
  • DSP-Quattro 2.1.2 for MacOS 9 supports VST (not Carbonized) plug-ins.
